We were supposed to have dinner. Instead, we followed a narrow path past the villa and disappeared into the rocks. What we found felt less like a location than a private world.

We wandered past the villa and found a little path through the rocks. At the end of it: water held inside stone, no one around, just us and the kind of quiet that changes the way you look at someone. I had my camera with me, of course. I took a few photographs of her, then a few more. Somewhere along the way the images stopped feeling separate from the moment.
The story is about losing yourself in the moment—letting go of expectation, restraint and the need to control what comes next. It is about being free enough to follow desire wherever it leads, and uninhibited enough to choose passion over plans. The landscape became part of that feeling: open, elemental and without rules. At some point I stopped knowing whether we were making photographs or making love. Maybe there was not much of a difference. We never made it to dinner.
